Students grow up knowing that individuals have different talents and abilities. Virtually every student will work with others as an adult. The experiences gained in NT with team work and collaboration will be invaluable to our students. The projects will allow students to pursue their own interests as they work together to solve problems. I.U. Professors : Teachers will need to continue honing their skills in differentiated instruction, and all students will need to have many opportunities to identify their own individual learning styles as well as those of their peers from an asset-based perspective. The emphasis on mastery learning within the New Tech model provides each student a chance to proceed through the material until he/she reaches a level of comprehension which is developmentally appropriate to his/her ability. A variety of instructional methods must be implemented including self-paced technology and electronic practice testing. Widening the scope of assessment is important
