What is the PBS Diabetes Population Prevalence Model?

0

This is a spreadsheet model that generates estimates of expected total numbers of cases of diabetes (both diagnosed and undiagnosed) at Strategic Health Authority, Local Authority and PCT level. The model applies age/sex/ethnic group-specific estimates of diabetes prevalence rates, derived from epidemiological population studies, to resident populations based on the 2001 Census. PBS reflects the authorship of the model; Public Health Observatory, Brent PCT and ScHARR.
