During the first 24 25 hours after the treatment, your body processes the treatment. The meridians that acupuncture points are located on run in cycles of 24 hours. You will need to avoid touching and consuming the allergen that you are being treated for during that time. It is important to plan ahead when necessary as breaking this 24 hour avoidance can make the treatment fail.
