What is the Password Tool?
The Password Tool is a service provided by SMU for all faculty, staff and students, that allows you to personally manage your SMU account password. In order to use it, you must first “Enroll” in the Password Tool by setting up 3 security questions. You will need your current password to complete this step. I don’t know my password… Click here to select Reset. You will be prompted to answer your security questions and then you can enter a new password. To use this feature, you must first Enroll. I know my password, but I need/want to change it… Click here to select Change. You will only be prompted for your SMU ID#, your current password, and then you can create a new password. My password has expired… Click here to select Change. You will only be prompted for your SMU ID#, your current password, and then you can create a new password.
