What is the participation rate within Bracknell Sunday league football?
After the AGM in June 2006 the league had 55 teams in five divisions. The limiting factor is the number of adult pitches available. In season 1996-07 the league was comprised of 76 teams in seven divisions. A number of factors (including further education, changes in working weeks, and other alternatives to football) has led to a reduction although for the last five years we have maintained a constant number of teams between 55 and 60. Looking back through the records there are numerous Company teams who won honours including Rathdown, Jobs Dairies, Clark Eaton, Sperry Sports, B.Ae. Sports, Harris Lebus, Gowrings Utd, Hewlett Packard, Cadbys Garage, Scotts Removals, 3M, Kingsbury Transport, Miles 33, Dell Computers and Air Products. Very few of these still exist. The league was at one time sponsored by John Wood Sports and has also had sponsorship for a variety of Cup competitions from Bill Murphy, Spectus, Florette Landscapes, Morlands, Gowrings, Boehringer, Shikara and Unigate Dairie
