ROHS version of PICDEM2 Plus board uses OCULAR make LCD module part number OM16214.The LCD on PICDEM2 Plus demo board (NON –ROHS version -16 X 2 Lines) is part number CG1621 from Fema Electronics (www.femacorp.com), similar to Hitachi HD44780U LCD driver in initialization, communication protocol and character map.
