The Medicare Part B premium amount for 20097 has been announced by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This premium paid by beneficiaries enrolled in Medicare Part B, covers physician services, outpatient hospital services, certain home health services, durable medical equipment and other items. The Medicare Part B monthly premium will be $96.40 in 2009, increase of $2.90 from the 2007 $93.50 premium.
