What is the Panorama Assist Mode?
The Panorama Assist Mode is a tool to help you line up individual pictures which can later be stitched together to create a single large panorama. When using Panorama Assist Mode, the camera displays a ghost of the far edge of the prior picture on the side of your LCD monitor. Having the edge of the prior picture visible on your monitor helps you to properly align your next shot relative to the last. Later, you can take these perfectly aligned pictures and stitch them together on the computer to form a single large panoramic image. You can use Panorama Assist Mode to align 2, 3, 4, or more pictures. In fact, you can even align pictures in a complete circle around the camera, then later use software to stitch together a complete 360 degree immersive virtual reality panorama.
