What is the Palm pre?
The Palm Pre is the new Palm smart phone announced in January 2009 in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show. There’s a lot of buzz and excitement for the device because the platform, Web OS, is built from the groundup to maximize internet connectivity and multi-tasking on a smart phone. When asked how the Pre might compete with iPhone or RIMs devices, Palm replied that it hoped that the Pre would find a niche of its own. that the device was not trying to go after iPhone or RIMs users.From a developers perspective, Web OS is really exciting because it is built on an architecture that relies heavily on existing and widely available technologies. The form factor of the phone seems really cool because it has a tactile keyboard.I can’t wait to give the new phone a try.
