What is the “Package Version” I see listed for ATI?
The “Package Version” number for newer ATI drivers will be found in the Display Properties > Settings tab > Advanced button > Options tab. Please use this rather than the Driver Version as your reference. It will save a lot of time and prevent serious problems with Autodesk Inventor®. Do not use an ATI driver from a site that identifies the driver by driver version. • It is very likely the wrong driver for your system. • The drivers available from Microsoft Windows Update are always the wrong driver for ATI. • If a non-workstation driver is installed, Autodesk Inventor® will crash and data may be lost. • The computer system vendors and resellers may not have caught up with ATI’s new policy, and may actually have an incorrect driver posted. • After installation, check the ATI driver for the option of setting the driver for Autodesk Inventor® (sic.). • If this option is not available (Display Properties > Settings tab > Advanced Button > Configuration tab) check the detailed information
