What is the PA Preparatory Program?
The Physician Assistant Preparatory Program allows students who plan to enter Physician Assistant Programs, an opportunity to gain insight into the Physician Assistant profession. Course studies include various program entrance requirements, introductory medical subjects, PA practice laws and interviewing techniques. In addition, the program provides a course in “Service Learning” where didactic seminar interfaces with projects to impact the community, city, state, or medical community. These projects include but are not limited to: feeding the poor, assisting with medical care to the underserved, working with neglected children, working to improve the health of homeless veterans at “Stand Downs” and a host of other opportunities to become involved in the community and increase the student’s involvement in medical issues in the community. The purpose of this program coincides with vast numbers of students attempting to enter Physician Assistant Programs in the United States. Many stude
