What is the overall policy about transfer of General Education courses?
FROM: The General Education Executive Committee RE: Changes in the General Education Transfer Credit Policies DATE: October 9, 2001 Introduction After listening to all concerned parties and sorting through the issues, the General Education Executive Committee has arrived at the following revised policies regarding transfer credits and general education courses. While it still may involve some problems for some people, we believe that it is simpler, clearer, and easier to implement at the same time that it maintains the integrity of the general education program. Policy Changes New (incoming) Transfer Students All new incoming students with any transfer credit (not students enrolled at MTU taking courses off-campus) will receive transfer credit based upon a single conversion schedule.
