What is the output beam quality?
Fundamentally the beam quality from a fiber is only limited by diffraction effects, and then the quality of the subsequent optics employed for beam control. The output beam from Point Source systems is diffraction-limited, typically better than lambda/4, however up to lambda/10 is available at additional cost in accordance with the customer’s requirements. Specific measurements of wavefront quality, M-squared and Gaussian fit can also be incorporated into the specification as required.
