What is the original story of superman?
He is the last son of the planet Krypton that was destroyed. His parents put him on a ship headed to Earth, where he landed and was adopted by Martha and John Kent. Under Earth’s Yellow sun, the child Kal-El (renamed Clark) had superhuman strength, speed, flight, x-ray vision, heat vision, super hearing, sight, etc. Wanting to help people, he assumed the identity of Superman (named by Lois Lane) and became a superhero. His outfit was created with leftover fabric found on the spaceship he came on. He leads a double life as Clark Kent, mild mannered reporter for the Daily Planet. Superman is technically solar power and should he be away from the Yellow sun, his powers would diminish. His only weakness is the mineral Kryptonite, a green radioactive mineral that destroyed his planet.
