What Is the Origin of the Swine Influenza?
Overview Researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention first detected the swine flu, or 2009 H1N1 virus, in United States patients in April 2009. The World Health Organization declared this influenza virus a pandemic in June 2009. Symptoms Infected patients may experience sore throat, cough, runny nose, fever, headache and body aches, fatigue, chills and possibly diarrhea and vomiting. The CDC warns that some people may have only respiratory symptoms without fever.
