The first three lines: “Deep peace of the running wave to you Deep peace of the flowing air to you Deep peace of the quiet earth to you” are from a translation (copyright 1994) by Caitlin Matthews of a traditional Gaelic prayer. This prayer was also used as the basis of a song called “Deep Peace” on Donovan’s CD, “Sutras”. 6.
