What is the origin of memory foam?
Memory foam was developed in 1966 by NASA’s Ames Research Center to improve the safety and comfort of cushions installed on aircrafts. Initially the temperature-sensitive memory foam was called “temper foam” by Charles A. Yost, of the Stencel Aero Engineering Corporation, who contributed to the project.
