What is the ordinance governing a Snow Emergency?
Sec. 28-282. Parking during snow emergencies. No person shall park a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the direction of a police officer or traffic-control device, on any street within the corporate limits of the city except those streets comprising the central business district (other than the northwest quadrant of the public square, which shall be subject to the snow emergency requirements of this section) during an announced snow emergency, being a twelve-hour period commencing at the time when two (2) inches of snow has accumulated on the street surface or until the street has been completely plowed. Each day during part of which the vehicle remains parked in violation hereof, after being ticketed for the first time, shall constitute a separate offense.
