What is the order of the colors of the rainbow?
Technically ALL of the colors of the rainbow (starting at the top) are: INFARED RED ORANGE YELLOW GREEN BLUE INDIGO (actually Indigo was put in just to make the “ROY G. BIV” acronym work. Most scientific descriptions leave Indigo out since it is so small a band, and hard to distinguish from blue and violet) VIOLET ULTRAVIOLET The top and bottom colors are really there. (Infrared and ultraviolet) The human eye just can’t see them. But they are colors and some non-humans can see them. Some insects can see these “colors” reflected off certain flowers. Special filters and films can also pick up the presence of these two colors.
