What is the ORAU/ORISE role in the research participation programs?
ORAU/ORISE administers the programs under an interagency agreement between the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Energy. ORISE manages administrative processes, including program announcements and recruiting, applicant inquiries and support, accepting and processing application materials, interacting with sponsoring DoD groups for the application review and selection process, issuing appointment offers, processing appointment letters and terms of appointments to begin the appointments, assisting candidate relocation to the facility site, making regular stipend payments, and processing other allowed reimbursements.
