What is the Oracle Discoverer command line interface?
The Oracle Discoverer command line interface is a set of text based commands that enable you to create and manipulate Discoverer EULs created on both Oracle databases and non-Oracle databases. Note: You use Heterogeneous Services to connect to non-Oracle databases, although the EUL is stored in the Oracle database. For more information about using non-Oracle databases, see “Discoverer support for non-Oracle databases and Oracle Rdb”. The Discoverer command line interface runs only on a Windows platform. The Discoverer command line interface enables you to perform tasks without running the Discoverer Administrator or Discoverer Desktop graphical user interface (GUI). For example, using the Discoverer command line interface you can: import EUL objects export EUL objects refresh EUL objects In addition, you can create command files that contain multiple commands (much like MS-DOS batch files or Unix script files) to perform groups of administrative tasks automatically.
