What is the Options Regulatory Fee (ORF) and why is it charged to my account?

0

Pursuant to a proposed rule change in October 2008, the Chicago Board of Options Exchange assesses a new Options Regulatory Fee, or ORF, on all options orders executed effective March 2009. In addition, most options exchanges now assess their own fees. These fees are passed through from Zecco Trading to client accounts as a non-commission fee. Currently, this translates to a fee of $0.014 per contract. Please refer to the CBOE Regulatory Circular available for more information.
