You should make sure that images being printed on apparel are at least 120 DPI. Since the area over which the image will be printed is 11″ x 11″, each image or composite of images should equal 1320 pixels square (120dpi x 11″) to provide the optimum results. In other words, if four separate images are being printed, each side of each 5.5″ x 5.5″ image should be 660 pixels wide.
