There are many factors to consider when determining the correct amount of visible light transmission. Some regions of the world often have overcast conditions and therefore a higher amount of visible light transmission is desired. Other regions have very bright and clear conditions and therefore high visible light transmission creates discomfort for the occupants and the glare makes it difficult to see their computer screens. If a glass product is specified that has too much visible light transmission then window treatments are installed and often closed creating an inability to see outside.
