Whether you choose to purchase hardware through HITSG or on your own, we will help you as part of the implementation process to ensure that the hardware you have selected will support the nEHR. To implement Acumen – nEHR, your practice will need computers, laptops or mobile devices and broadband internet connectivity. Additional optional components include wireless network capabilities and a scanning station. Specifically, HITSG recommends the following hardware or equivalent capabilities: Workstation / Laptop / Notebook – The computers must have Windows XP Pro or Vista. You have the option of using existing computer workstations, laptops, notebooks, to access our application through the Internet or purchase hardware that meets your needs. Tablet PC – This mobile technology enables the use of the nEHR at the point of care, and can be used with an available wireless access point.
