What is the operation of the Desktop Communicator program when it is not connected to Internet?
The Desktop Communicator program checks for new content from the Internet on a frequent and regular basis. Without an active Internet connection, the program will be unable to notify you when new content is available. Because of the real-time nature of the program some items may not display if you are not connected to the Internet while using the Desktop Communicator program.
