The OpenMRS Internship Program (OIP) is a program that offers developers the opportunity to write code for OpenMRS and is modeled on the Google Summer of Code™ (GSoC) idea and successful participation of OpenMRS in the 2007 Google Summer of Code OpenMRS project. OIP is similar in many respects to GSoC but focuses on the needs of developing countries. More details of the Google Summer of Code™ can be found on the GSoC web site.
