Ordinance No. 84 allows opening burning under the following conditions: 1. An open burning permit must be obtained from the Township. Click here to download an open burning permit. 2. Fire extinguishing material – capable of controlling fire – must be present. 3. Burning must be at least 50 feet from any building, structure or wooded area. 4. Burning must be attended at all times until the fire is fully extinguished. 5. Burning is not permitted before dawn or after dusk. 6. Burning is not permitted on Sundays or Holidays. 7. Residents are not allowed to burn garbage, household waste or any other materials which would impose an unreasonable health risk to the surrounding area. 8. Burning is not permitted during windy conditions.
