What is the open burning policy in Bethlehem Township?
Whereas air pollution is detrimental to the health, safety, welfare, comfort and living conditions of the citizens of the Township of Bethlehem, it is hereby declared to be the policy of the Township of Bethlehem to protect its citizens from air pollution caused by open fires within the Township. Township Residents may burn small quantities of household generated paper and yard waste at their discretion. Residents are encouraged to recycle as much waste material as possible and when possible use a Municipal Trash & Garbage Removal Service to dispose of household waste materials. THE BURNING OF BUSINESS OR TRADE WASTE AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
