What is the Ontario Home Energy Retrofit program?
A. It is a new energy conservation program that was launched on June 20, 2007. It is a five-year $88-million program that provides homeowners with a financial grant to help subsidize the cost of completing energy-saving retrofits in the home. Homeowners can be reimbursed for up to $5,000 for the cost of energy-saving renovations identified under the program. It complements the federal government program called ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes.
