What is the OISS International Student Orientation?
Prior to the beginning of the semester, the Office of International Students & Scholars organizes an optional OISS Orientation program for all of the new degree and non-degree international students at NYU. It is not mandatory, but is highly recommended to gain valuable information and meet other exchange students (especially those that are not at your school or department). This should not be confused with the mandatory Check-In meeting required for all exchange students and conducted by the OISS. Please be aware that the Stern School of Business holds a mandatory Orientation for all incoming exchange students. This is separate from OISS’s optional orientation. All incoming exchange students must attend the orientation program at Stern in order to begin the academic semester.
