What Is The OGT Test?
The OGT stands for Ohio graduation test. It is a test that all students in grade 10 are required to take in order to successfully graduate from high school. The test consist of a writing section, a reading section, a maths section, a citizenship section and science section. The student must pass all five sections of the test in order to receive a state recognized high school diploma. This is a requirement for all students in the state of Ohio. If the student is a special education student, special accommodations can be made for the test according to what is written on their individual educational plan (or IEP). If a student does not pass the test, they will have several opportunities to pass the test through 12th grade. In the end, if all five sections are completed successfully with a passing score, the student will not graduate from high school.
