WHAT IS THE OFF ROAD SCHOOL, AND WHAT IS TRAIL RIDING?
Our off road school is for those that are new to off road riding (it is not a training camp for experienced enduro or motocross riders). We teach you the basics of riding off road, and we specialise in helping those that have little or no off road experience. Trail riding is basically off-road riding on un-made roads and tracks that are open to the public. As far as the law is concerned, you are riding on public roads, although you don’t see many other vehicles when you are on the trail riding because most routes are not passable in your average car, truck, or whatever. You need to know where you are going, because it is an offence to ride on footpaths & bridleways, and when you are out on the trail, a footpath that you are not allowed on can look just the same as a byway that you are allowed on. The experience is very different to road riding, but it is a huge amount of fun, and because the speeds are low, and the ground softer than tarmac, serious injuries are rare.
