What is the ocean tempreature and how have they changed in the seven years time?

There are ocean currents of varying temp. Ben Franklin discovered the warm flow that goes off the east coast of the US toward England. The one in the north Pacific goes from Japan toward British Columbia. Global warming fanatics worry that the influx of fresh water from the melting north ice cap could stall these currents causing cooling of the far north. Wouldn’t that cause the ice cap to grow? El Nino is warming of the Pacific equatorial waters supposedly causing more moisture to fall in the southwest. Since the southwest is currently in a drought, it doesn’t look like that’s warming.
