The objective of this voluntary program is to provide information about trichinae to the producer. Directions provide methods on raising swine to prevent exposure to these trichinae risk factors. These methods are termed Good Production Practices. Pork produced under Good Production Practices that eliminate swine exposure to the parasite will be recognized as trichinae-safe.
