What is the Oakajee Port and Rail Project State Development Agreement all about?
On 20 March 2009, the State Government signed a State Development Agreement with OPR. The State Development Agreement appoints OPR as the Infrastructure Provider for the port and provides for an open-access rail line servicing northern mid-west iron ore mines. OPR will have responsibility for progressing all matters necessary for the building of the Oakajee Port and Rail Infrastructure. The Government and OPR are now working towards the development a detailed Implementation Agreement.
