What is the nursery policy on discipline?
Each nursery has a written policy on discipline that will be shared with parents when their child starts nursery. Little Pumpkins believes all children have the right to be respected by their peers and adults caring for them, therefore the discipline policy does not permit any form of physical chastisement. Our goal in nursery is to help children achieve the ability to self-discipline. This is done through kindness and understanding, working with a child on a system of rewards to celebrate the good behaviour.
