What is the numbering system for BUAs and amendments?

Your first BUA will be given the next available number (four digit number, ####) in our database. If you have more than one BUA, the first BUA will be ####-01 and the second BUA will be ####-02 (same first four digits). Subsequent BUAs, each covering a separate project, will be numbered ####-03, ####-04, and so on. Amendments to BUAs will use the same numbering system but they will have letters added after the “amend” in the filename. For example, the fourth amendment to an investigator’s second BUA is “amend(D) ####-02”.
