What is the NUB?
THiiN Line’s Network Utility Box is an internet appliance for small businesses, SOHOs, and eventually the average home. It can be mounted on the wall in your basement, or it can sit on your desk next to your answering machine. It connects to an Internet Service Provider using a V.34/56k modem (eventually ISDN, ADSL, and cable modems) and provides a local-area wireless network so that PCs, laptops, and Internet appliances can be connected to the Internet simply by adding a low-cost radio component or adapter. • When will it be available? We have not launched the product yet. At the Demo98 conference, we demonstrated the Net Utility Box technology that is the basis for the product. Service Providers interested in deploying an Internet Access service based on the NUB should contact us immediately via sales@thiin.com. If you are interested as an end-user, you’ll have to wait until there is an Internet Access service deployed using the NUB. We do not have any plans to distribute this produc
