What is the Notice of Lien and Record Lookup System?
This online service allows qualified businesses (lienholders, motor vehicle and boat dealers, etc.) to file notices of lien (NOLs) online. The system also provides businesses such as dealers, lienholders, towers, and attorneys online access to motor vehicle and marinecraft titling and lien records. The vehicle types included in the program are motor vehicles, trailers, all-terrain vehicles, manufactured homes, vessels, and outboard motors. Only those who qualify under the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) and have a security access code issued by the department are able to access the titling and lien records to determine whether a lien has been filed or to identify the last titled owner of record.
