What is the North Star STEM Alliance program at Minnesota State?
It is a group of 18 students, 3 fellows and 15 scholars, who will work together throughout the semester engaging in academic and social events that will further your educational and career goals. As a participant you will also work in conjunction with faculty throughout the college and have the opportunity to get to know other Alliance participants at other institutions. What types of activities are there for the program? There will be a variety of on-campus and off-campus activities available for participants. You have the opportunity to go to fall events such as the Nobel Conference and the Kick-Off program at the Science Museum. The spring offers exposure to undergraduate research conferences and trips to industry sites. In addition there will be peer mentoring sessions, career workshop sessions, and academic activities here on campus. You will be able to get to know other students in similar areas of interest and network with professionals across campus. How will I benefit from the
