What is the Nintendo Wiis Tournament of Legends?
The range of Nintendo Wii exclusive Beat Em Up titles continues to grow this year, as following hot on the heels of Tatsunoko vs Capcom we have an entirely new title; Wii’s Tournament of Legends. From developers High Voltage, this title is the first in a proposed franchise of weapons-based fighters. Wii’s Tournament of Legends is based around Greek and Roman mythology, featuring fighters based on legends from that era. Each character is armed with a unique weapon, but as the single player mode progresses this weapon can be augmented and levelled up with different abilities, which helps to make combat quite varied. The gameplay is as standard for a Beat Em Up, but a few interesting additions have been thrown in. The camera actually pans to favour the player dealing the most damage, so if you’re administering quite a thrashing to your opponent the camera will zoom in on your moves.
