What is the NIC?
Since 1909, the North-American Interfraternity Conference has been serving the men’s college fraternity community in Canada and the United States . Through 68 member fraternities, the NIC represents almost 4.5 million alumni and 350,000 college students in over 5,300 chapters on more than 800 college campuses. The NIC advocates the needs of fraternities through the enrichment of the Greek experience, advancement and growth of the fraternities and enhancement of the educational mission of the host institutions. The NIC provides numerous resources and services to member fraternities and college campuses. The resources described on these pages are designed to be used by alumni, fraternity staff members, volunteers, campus professionals and students in the development of strong undergraduate chapters and individual leaders.
A. The system has been found to be mutually advantageous to both the employer and the employee. It has relieved employers of the financial obligation of paying the wages of employees who are unable to work, while simultaneously meeting the wages of temporary, replacement workers. This is done, provided the employer and empolyee made regular contributions to the NIC for eligibility. For maximum use of the benefits, you must know something about the operations of the National Insurance and your rights and obligations under the Corporation.
The NIMS Integration Center was established by the Secretary of Homeland Security to provide strategic direction for and oversight of the National Incident Management System supporting both routine maintenance and the continuous refinement of the system and its components over the long term.The NIMS Integration Center is a multi-jurisdictional, multidisciplinary entity made up of federal stakeholders and state, local and tribal incident management and first responder organizations. It is situated in the Department of Homeland Securitys Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
