What is the Newspaper In Education Program?
The Register-Guard Newspaper In Education (NIE) program provides copies of the newspaper and specially designed curriculum materials to schools throughout our market area. The use of the newspaper in the classroom helps students develop strong reading and writing skills, while allowing them to explore math, science, politics, health, geography and current events that are relevant to their everyday lives. Through the generosity of our subscribers and business partners, the newspapers and curriculum guides are provided at no charge to participating schools.
