What is the New York State Employment Relations Board (NYSERB)?
NYSERB is an independent agency created by the New York State Legislature (Labor Law, Article 20, Sections 700-718) to carry out the legislatively-declared public policy of protecting employees’ rights of association, self-organization and designation of representatives for the purposes of collective bargaining, and of promoting industrial harmony through the prompt settlement of labor disputes for the benefit of the people of the state.
