What is the new management structure of Allianz SE?
Two models are available for the management of an SE: a two-tier structure consists of a board of management as well as a supervisory board similar to a German stock corporation. A one-tier structure only has a board of directors and possibly managing directors appointed by the board of directors. Allianz SE continued to maintain its two-tier management structure consisting of a “Vorstand” (board of management) and an “Aufsichts-rat” (supervisory board). However, the supervisory board was reduced from before 20 to 12 members. The supervisory board comprises employee representatives from different European countries in line with the equal co-determination principle.
