What is the new fee for a surplus line broker license?
Effective June 13, 2008, the original application and renewal fees for a surplus line broker license were adjusted. The fee for a surplus line broker who is an individual transacting only on behalf of a surplus line broker business entity is $500 per two-year license term. The fee for an individual surplus line broker who transacts on behalf of his own license is $1,000 per two-year license term. That individual is also responsible for maintaining a $50,000 bond.
