What is the new bicone bead, article 5328?
A. Swarovski recently announced that they will be upgrading the entire 5301 bicone bead series to a more faceted cut which will be renamed as article series 5328. This new Xillion cut bicone will have more sparkle and brilliance due to the increase in the number of facets. Please be assured that products 5301 and 5328 can be combined and used interchangeably as their dimensions and geometry are complimentary. The old design is being phased out of production by Swarovski and the new article will be available, without any price increase, in the same assortment as the existing article 5301. Further, the increased number of facets of the 5328 enhances the overall appearance of the bead and the rounder belt line will result in improved wearing comfort of the finished design. The old style 5301 bicones will not be manufactured after May, 2009 and will no longer be available as inventory runs out.
