What is the nest time of year to visit the Iwokrama forest?
The best time to visit the forest is during low-water, when the rains have stopped and available water is concentrated in ponds and rivers. This concentration of water resources means that wildlife is less dispersed and therefore easier to see. The rainy season starts in late April and continues until early September (see rainfall chart) when the water is at its highest. The water is lowest from January to early April at the height of the dry season and at the very beginning of the rainy season. It is worth noting, however, that the rainforest in the rainy season also provides a magnificent experience.
