What is the “negotiated” contract process?

0

A “negotiated” contract means that from the start, we partner with you to fully define and develop your project. If the expertise of an architect or designer is needed for your project, we provide those services, or work with your architect or the specialist of your choice. First, we will have a preliminary telephone conversation, and then make an appointment to thoroughly discuss the project, the full scope of work and the time frame. (There is no cost for this meeting, and no commitment is assumed.) Together, we’ll consider the degree to which we are good match for each other and if we decide to partner on this project, we proceed with the pre-construction process and related services.

A negotiated contract means that we work with the Owners from inception to develop the project design, engineering, costs and schedule. We work very closely with the architect or designer to develop and maintain a team goal. After an initial telephone conversation, an appointment is made to view the project. At that meeting, we will have a thorough discussion about the full scope of the work and time frame–in order to decide if the project would be mutually beneficial. We do not charge the client for this meeting. If it is decided that we should go forward, we will then begin the preconstruction process. 8.
